We hope you and your students were able to join us this week for our MLK Day assemblies. Just in case you missed it, you can find a video of the inspiring keynote speaker, Mr. James Layman, here. Mr. Layman encouraged students to help make

Dr. King's dream a reality by being good listeners, embracing and celebrating differences, using kind words and asking themselves, "what am I doing for others?"

You can further this conversation at home by asking:

  • What are three things that make you awesome?

    • What are some things you can do at home to practice your leadership skills?

  • How can you show respect to others and celebrate other people's differences?
