Many of us may be feeling increasingly anxious as the election draws near. The added uncertainty in an already uncertain and challenging year can quickly feel overwhelming.

I am finding movement, breathing and appreciating the beauty of nature helpful and hope that you are taking a few minutes for self-care this week - doing whatever it is you find calming and comforting. If you are feeling stressed, there's a good chance that your child is picking up on that, even if you think you're masking it. This week I'm sharing an article from Healthline with some tips to help guide your discussions about the election. As always, please let me know if you have concerns about your child. I'm here to help. Reach me by e-mail at arreid@seattleschools.org or leave a message for me at (206) 252-1535.
